We are the original gateway to North America as European presence here predates the voyage of Columbus.
Majestic humpback whales share coastal waters with 10,000 year old icebergs. Some 22 species of whales, dolphins, and porpoises chase food through the food rich waters. While on land more seabirds make their home here than anywhere else on earth.

Winter activities include catskiing, down hill skiing at Marble Mountain the ski gem of Atlantic Canada , snowmobiling on groomed trails with or without guides, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and back country adventures.
Lush’s cottages are located on the west coast of Newfoundland . Easily accessible via the Trans Canada Highway for those who use the Ferry from Port aux Basques or 9 klms from the Deer Lake Airport.
We are located in the small Town of Cormack Newfoundland . It is an excellent site to use as a base to visit all of the sites on Newfoundland’s West Coast as well as the Northern Penisula via highway 430 which takes you to the Northern tip of Newfoundland.
We are 9 klms from Deer Lake Airport, 26 klms from the main gate of Gros Morne National Park and 20 klms from Big Falls, a Provincial Park and the Humber River, where there is some of the best salmon fishing in Newfoundland.
For winter activities we are near the main groomed snowmobile trails , Marble Mountain for down hill skiing, and numerous trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
